The Portland Jazz Orchestra feat. Thornton Academy April 13th, 8PM
Your Portland Jazz Orchestra welcomes a new high school guest band this month, Thornton Academy under the direction of Matt Lagarde.
It’s great to welcome veteran bands to our OLS shows, and even extra special to welcome a band who is making their special debut at OLS. Trumpeter Matt Lagarde, has been working with these fine high school musicians and is ready to share the stage with PJO on April 11th at 8PM.
As PJO continues its outreach to local high schools, we are excited to host Thornton Academy as we bring seasoned PJO musicians and future jazzers (high school students) together for a night of two great jazz bands on April 13th at 8PM
Come out on April 13th for a night of great, swinging music from your Portland Jazz Orchestra, AND a premiere show from the Thornton Academy High School Jazz Ensemble.
Next month, May, will feature the Cape Elizabeth High School Jazz Ensemble
